China's commerce ministry has accused the U.S. of "unilateral bullying" following Washington's push for secondary tariffs on Chinese imports. The rebuke came during tense trade negotiations in Madrid, where officials from both nations attempted to de-escalate an ongoing economic feud. Beijing labeled the U.S. MOVE as "economic coercion," rejecting pressure to align with Western sanctions against Russia.

Meanwhile, TikTok ownership talks reached a tentative breakthrough. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed a framework to transfer the app's U.S. operations to American control. The deal awaits final approval during an upcoming call between Presidents TRUMP and Xi Jinping.
